The example documents below are not necessarily self-explanatory - they are not intended to be "stand-alone" documents, but rather used in the context of a more wide-ranging planning process. (The keys in each document may assist if you want to delve into the meaning of all the abbreviations.)

However, these details aside, the examples should provide an idea of the nature of the documentation that may be useful  as part of an ICT review and planning process.

These documents are provided as examples only - they are pdf files created from a spreadsheet application.

Example sections of the ICT Infrastructure Planning Workbook:

This document is the first step in the ICT review and planning process. This review document facilitates an "audit" of the current situation concerning a variety of ICT-related criteria in a school environment, and provides a visual overview of priorities, targets and achievements for each criteria.

This document lists the school's ICT aims, and includes an auto-generated visual summary of the key areas and each criteria evaluated in the ICT Review (above) . The summary of priorities is used to create the How, Who & When Action Plan (below)

This document is an Action Plan, based on the priorities identified in the Review Summary above.

This page is forwarded to the Regional ICT support unit, and provides a summary of the school's ICT priorities, and an overview of the resulting Action Plan. This summary document also highlights any actions for which the Regional support unit is responsible.

This workbook addresses the implementation of ICT infrastructure planning. A broader overview of the school ICT planning process, based on learning outcomes, and considering professional learning, curriculum and infrastructure components, is available at wazmac.com.
